DIY Valentine's Day Brownie Bags

Kathleen from Twigs & Thistle made the cutest Valentine's Day brownie bags last year. They were brought back this year due to popular demand. All you have to do is download the graphic from here, and either print directly onto a paper bag or print on a sheet of sticker paper. Then just fill your bags with some homemade brownies, and surprise your loved ones with a special, sweet treat. Be sure to check out her instructions on how to make the perfect batch of heart-shaped brownies.

It's time to think about Valentine's Day

Hmm...it's probably already too late to make V-day reservations in the city. I'm not sure what the hubs and I are doing this year. We kept things really low-key and stayed in the past 2 years. What do you guys have planned for this year?

It's not too late to start thinking about Valentine's Day cards for your significant other though. :) I found this one on Etsy by Anenome Letterpress. Isn't it cleverly cute?

3D Street Art

My aunt just forwarded an email to me with Edgar Mueller's (a 3D street artist) work. The grand scale of his paintings are incredible! They look so realistic. Wouldn't it be so fun to see it in person? Many of you have probably seen the forwards for the 3D chalk artist, Julian Beever. He was Mueller's inspiration.

Have a great weekend!

1000 Paper Cranes

A friend's sweet proposal with a vase of 1,000 hand-folded cranes lead me to do a search on Google. Look what I found! Wouldn't it be so romantic and whimsical to hang colorful, paper cranes on the ceiling at a wedding?[via drawonthewalls]

Harbin Ice and Snow Festival

Each year, artists, ice sculpture experts and fans from countries including America, Canada, Japan, & Russia, make their way to see the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival. Harbin is the capital city of the Heilongjiang Province which is the most north-easterly part of China and borders Russia. During the long cold winter months the temperature can drop down to as low as -30°C! Can you believe all of the sculptures and buildings are made from blocks of ice?! To see more images, click here.

these are a few of my favorite things...

I finally ordered some things from Etsy last month. It's such a great way to support small-time artists and designers, and buy unique gifts and items. I purchased this super cute Rosebud Belt as a Christmas gift from Heart of Light. I might just have to buy myself one too!
I am coveting the simple & chic jewelry from Oli + Me. Everything is delicate and wearable on an everyday basis. Perfect!
I found this intricately designed illustration on Duet Letterpress by Little Brown Pen, and couldn't pass up sharing it. The design was inspired by the Rose Windows of Notre Dame. Look at that detail! The shades of yellow will brighten up any room!
I came upon the Bagonia's shop on The Bright Side Project. This handmade, suede handbag comes in a beautiful teal-blue shade with a ruffly white trim. Isn't it pretty?!

Happy New Year!

Kyu and I spent a low-key evening with friends on NYE at a sushi restaurant. Here's a picture of us with some silly New Year's paraphernalia. Hehe. I don't usually set New Year's resolutions. But this year, some of friends had a good idea to challenge ourselves. We're going to come up with a resolution for our significant others. That's a good one, right?? I'm going to have to think about this one... Have you set some for yourself this year? What are they? Ok, I'm off to have brunch with Sarah. She's in town again. Yay!
