A Beautifully Uncluttered Workspace

Bethany of b*spoke has an enviable workspace. With a few shelves and organization/storage supplies from Ikea, she turned her studio into an amazing, functional space. I'm particularly liking the Galant Cable Organizer from Ikea. The cords under my desk (and my husband's desk) are a total eyesore. Sadly, I don't think this product will work for my desk though since I have a large drawer spanning the entire underside. But maybe it'll work for my husband's desk. Check out the photos of her studio here and here.

Temporary Wallpaper...Genius!

In recent years, wallpaper has made a comeback. But I've always been wary of wallpaper because of its permanence and the complicated application process. Whenever I see makeover shows on HGTV (my fav!) they're always peeling off layers of nasty wallpaper! Who wants to deal with that?!

I discovered Tempaper Designs via At Home with Kim Vallee (that blog has some really cool finds!) Tempaper is a self-adhesive, repositionable, temporary wallpaper. How ingenious is that?? They only have a limited # of colors and designs at this time. But hopefully, as they become more popular, different patterns and colors will be available.

West Elm

Even though West Elm opened up a store near my house, I don't go there nearly enough. Haha. I guess that's a good thing though. :) They have a really fun & whimsical home decor collection, and some really great gift ideas. These are my picks...
(Aren't the mugs adorable??)

Currently Searching For...New Shower Curtains

Since we won't be remodeling our master bathroom anytime time soon, something needs to be done to spice it up. I'm tired of the neutral brown palette I have going on. It's starting to look drab to me. I need some C O L O R (any bit of color) in there. Hmm...I would like to venture out of the neutral zone, but it can't be too girly. Let's see what I can find online... [click on images for links]

[Crate & Barrel]

[CB2]
[Bed Bath & Beyond]
The C&B ones might be a bit too much color. The CB2 and BB&B curtains have potential. The minimalist gray branches might be a little too minimal. I'll have to buy some yellow towels or something. Eh...too much work. The citrus yellow one from BB&B is my favorite out of these so far. I'm gonna have to see them in person. Maybe they're still too...white? I haven't seen any on Etsy or West Elm. Do you know of any other places with nice shower curtains? Please help!

Etsy Finds: Throw Pillows

I'm looking for some new pillow covers to spruce up my living room. Specifically, a teal or aqua colored one. It's been pretty hard searching for a cover in the exact shade I'm looking for and in a pattern I like. But here are some cute pillow covers I found in my search... (I'm really liking the patterns from the Milk & Cookies Etsy shop!)

An Organized Kitchen

In this month's MS Living, Martha helped Living's editorial director organize their kitchen cabinets. It inspired me to reorganize my own cabinets and maximize the little space I have in my kitchen. I ran to the nearest Container Store the next day. Oh how I love organization! Thanks to Grace for my MS Living subscription!

I bought a couple of these white cabinet shelves for my plates and bowls.
And this is the double shelf for the platters and punch bowl. The photo below is of the other side of the same cabinet. I'm definitely liking how the shelves are making use of the vertical space. My corner cabinets are kind of oddly shaped. I have to stick my whole torso in to reach anything in the back...after I've taken everything out in the front of the cabinet. The shelves make life a bit easier.I bought a few more shelves for my other cabinets, but you get the gist of it. No need to show anymore poorly-taken photos. I don't get much natural light in there. =) Oh, I also went to Bed, Bath & Beyond for some shelves, and took advantage of those awesome 20% off coupons. I love how they accept expired coupons!
