Pattern Inspiration: Chevron Stripes + Scallops

I've always been drawn to chevron stripes and scallops. I would love to incorporate one of these patterns into an invitation design. I've been scouring the net for inspiration.     Ah, I've been seeing chevron stripes everywhere and I'm dying to hand-paint one on an Ikea rug (I found the tutorial via Pinterest, of course (: )
